Studio Saljo was founded by Trevor Jones and Sara Salzgeber Jones in December of 2019. Trevor went to college for fine arts and goldsmithing in his early 20s, but after completing the program he went on to pursue a career as a stone mason for 18 years. Upon returning to Canmore in 2015, Trevor began tinkering on his bench and began getting back into making jewellery. Both Trevor and Sara have a love for creative pursuits and the arts and, when the opportunity came along to open a jewellery store and gallery they wholeheartedly embraced it.
